Simple pen stand for photography

Made a simple pen stand from scrap Ash and Mahoghany to use for taking pics of my pens. It is finished with Danish Oil and came out pretty decent.

I also use a scrap piece of the same wood the blank is made from. I like your design, lovely photos.

Have you guys thought about hanging the pens from a ultra thin fishing line in front a white back drop a couple feet behind the pen .
then photo shop out the fishing line .
this way there no shadows from the pen and the pen stand.

Thanks, I saw a similar one on Instagram and made my own version. I think I'll make a few more with some other scraps I have.
