Simple bottle stopper I made tonight out of Hormigo Negro. Hard sanding stuff that wood is.

Beautiful! As with pepper mills I think "simple" is the best design because they need to be comfortable to the hand so they can be used with pleasure rather than grabbing on to something that pokes or rubs you.

I agree with kyaggie. I really like the looks of that one. So many times I see pointed tops for a bottle stopper. I then wonder if the person making it ever had to put a stopper in a wine bottle.

I think stoppers should have 3 features. A lip so you can push it out of the bottle like a champagne cork. And area to pull it out if you need to. And a flat or rounded top to press it in the bottle. 1 Think you're 3 for 3.

Oh. . . . 4 for 4. They should also look good.:wink:
