Greetings from Nebraska.

This morning I finished up an Antique Silver plated Caballero. It is one of Smitty's designs that is carried by Ed at Exotic Blanks. The blank is called Painted Desert and it came from Turnt Pen Company. Unfortunately I parted the custom cabochon a little too long for my liking, but I find them really hard to adjust after they have been sanded, finished, and parted off.

I matched the pattern at assembly in the closed position. I was pleasantly surprised however at how well it still matches up even in the "posted" position.

Regards,
Dave

I always like the Caballero and this one is beautiful.

You can intentionally match the closed and open positions with segmented patterns, but having them match well with an acrylic is really special.

Really nice looking pen and blank!!!
Colorful blank is enhanced with the simple antique silver--really good choice!!!
