Went out this morning to turn a pen. Put the gouge on it and the lathe stopped dead. Deader than a doornail. It was like the gouge sent some kind of mystic message to the lathe to shut down.
Checked the circuit breaker. Fine. Checked the power outlet. Fine. Took off the electrical control unit and tested to see if power was going in. Fine.
Called Delta. They do NOT under any circumstance send out electrical parts for their lathes.:frown:
Had the receipt. Purchased in 12/2009. Three year warranty. YAHOO!! UNDER WARRANTY!!:biggrin::biggrin:
Took it in this afternoon. Hopefully will have it back by Monday.
Got the Rikon moved over.
Turned the pen.
Oh, and BTW, in a thread a while ago someone asked why in the world would you need more than 1 lathe.
This is why.
