Short Threads on Postable Junior Celticus

I had a bunch of these kits in stock and made several pens before realizing that the threads on the post are too short and the cap will not screw on. WoodPenPro was nice enough to include a free kit with my next order but that didn't solve the problem. Does anyone know where I can get the appropriate tenon or how I can correct this? Any feedback is appreciated...thanks!

Make your own part? Replace the finial with longer threads?

I'm not familiar with the pen but is there any possibility you pressed the cap threads in a little too far?

From the Woodpenpro website for the Jr Celticus

"NOTE: Due to a manufacturing flaw (short threads on the end cap), you will receive 2 kits for the price of one. A coupler nib can be used in lieu of the end cap threads to make them long enough to reach."

Are you asking for an alternative to their solution?
