I know it's pretty hard for any other forum to hold a candle to the members and participation level found here at IAP, but I thought I would ask anyhow. I would really like to join a forum for reloading and shooting sports that is as active and respected as this one, but I'm sure it will be difficult to find. I think the administrators, vendors, and membership on IAP are a real special bunch of folks. Can anyone recommend a worthwhile forum for me? - Thanks - Dave

I lost touch with those forums some years ago, pre-C for sure.
Though now I am back at one where coyote hunting is the main theme.
"home" to where I used to sell game calls.

I look back to some very enjoyable times partcipating on many forums. buying, selling.
Anschutz, etc!

You might try this one, if Rifles are your favorite.

Dave: Long range hunting. Len Backus and Longrangeonly.com two off the best. Sniperhideshide.com and for F-class shooting https;//www.goal.org
All good forms that I have use for years when reloading shooting.

I have been a member of gunandgame.com forum for quite a while. They have a lot of knowledgeable members on there. They have a section specifically for reloading also.

I used to be pretty active on the Cast Boolits forum. It's casting-centric of course, but virtually everyone there is also reloading, and I think there's a lot of discussion of using commercially produced/jacketed bullets as well.

As unfortunately happens with forums full of crusty old men, there was enough drama there that I eventually got tired of it and stopped participating.

A good number of the more helpful users from Cast Boolits migrated to the Artful Bullet forums instead. I think of it as a smaller, more focused Cast Boolits forum with fewer but much better informed users. Same thing - a wealth of knowledge and experience about casting, but a good place for someone who is just reloading too, even if not casting.

Note that my information about these forums is several years out of date. My hobbies come and go in waves. I haven't been caught in the "shooting" wave for awhile. Post-covid prices for reloading components never came back down anywhere near pre-Covid levels, so the hobby is roughly 3x more expensive overall than it was for me just 7 years or so ago when I was doing a ton of competition shooting.
