Shipping to Canada

What do you do about shipping to Canada? I have shipped a couple of items and it is very frustrating for the buyer and me. The ability to track and get status has been non-existent and so far 2-3 week delivery.
What do you recommend?

All my packages have been USPS and arrive in under two weeks. I, and I believe your customer, have to accept the delays at the border as part of doing international shipping.

And realistically 2 weeks isn't so bad IMO, there are faster options if they want to pay for it.

I agree I ship to Canada often always use USPS international priority. Never lost one or had a complaint it can can about 2 weeks to get there depending if it gets snagged at the boarder.​

I ship to Canada almost daily, all my customers realize that it could take up to two weeks but usually quicker. Also as to tracking, if your using the USPS you cannot track any package once it leaves the US. And as Andrew said there are fast more expensive options if the customer is willing to pay for them.

I ship USPS Priority Mail International all the time and tracking is available, just not for the small flat-rate packages.

That is the crux of the matter!! The SMALL flat rate box is very economical. Also has no tracking once it leaves the USA.

We have shipped hundreds and lost only one or two. But, we have had many who would like to track it (and can't) four or five days after we ship.

Sometimes they go through Customs in just a day or two--often it is over a week.

In a world of "just in time" inventory, we are not very accepting of delays. When dealing with international shipping----you better adjust your purchasing to allow 3 weeks---cheer up, my purchases take four months (Taiwan).
