Well I guess the seven dads that were bought a pen from me today at the show will just have to grin and bear it.....Sorry Pop's but that's what your Son's and Daughters thought you'd want not Mammoth Ivory but Gator and Pheasant back scratchers....

You know, it's sad when you really think about how we need "Days" that we have to buy presents on to keep the Big Box stores going so say how much we (fill in the blank) each other.
I have a 7 year old boy, who make me stuff all the time, don't seem to need "Father's day" for him to give me something he worked on. It's just sad that I have a Cube and not an office to put it all in...

To each his own... I thought it was a nice looking pen. Didn't check to see if the author was male or female, but if it was a man, perhaps he should get nothing for Father's day. If he's just gonna sit around and bitch about potential gifts, maybe he should spend the day re-evaluating his priorities. I'd like to spend a day with my son... That's plenty for me.

And,to think I've been telling people that these things make a great gift for any occasion. This could be a reason for lack of sales.

According to that article .. dear old dad only has an IQ of 82 and can barely write his name let alone write a complete coherent sentence. What the hell would he do with a pen like that? Grr....

A hug and kiss from the little angel in my avatar is all I need.

After reading some of those comments it makes me sad and mad that a mojority of these people do not appreciate anything unless you spend alot of money on it or something like that. I for one could care less about material things, what makes me smile is a phone call or a simple card saying Happy Fathers Day, but what makes it special is I have no children of my own and my Step (I hate that word) kids all think I was a great dad so I guess that is all I need. Material things don't mean a thing to me.
Enough of my rant I hope I did not offend anyone

Two women telling people what men want, or don't want............

I don't ask guys what to get my wife for mother's day, else she'd be getting a six pack of beer, or new tools.

Not all hand-made items are created equal. They are implying that all of them are the equivalent of what kids make in grade school. Shows how short sighted they are, so take their opinion for what it's worth....... nothing.

And John, I'm with you. I would never register with one of the most hacked services on the web.

I've always told my daughters to make me something for any gift giving occasion. I tell them if it comes from the heart...it's the perfect gift! and i get a card or call wishing me a "happy father's day" every year..So regardless of what you give or get, if it's from the heart it can't be bad...Happy Father's Day to all!
