Shedua Smell

Does shedua have a smell when it is cut? I cut a blank today and it had a camphor like smell. Anyways y'all have a great day.

Looks like it is camphor woodlight brown with black striping and turns like a dream. Shavings piled up on the gouge and kind of looked a little oily but they felt dry pretty cool smell to garage smells like a medicine chest. At least it cleared up my sinuses
