Last week when I was at camp with my JROTC cadets LOML cleaned my shop. Remarkably, I am still able to find stuff. I remarked to her, " You must really love me or be really disgusted with me." She told me I was right on both counts.

I'm wondering--Should I return the favor and clean up her sewing room?

There are two room in our house that are off limits. LOML's den/crafts room/sewing room and her closet. Haven't looked or been in either one for years.

We have 6 children,

One occassion my wife was in hospital as was the custom then for two weeks having and nurturing a new baby and I did an organised complete overhaul in our 30 foot by 10 foot kitchen. Pots and pans to the stove cutlery near the breakfast table etc.

Feeling very proud when I brought them home Wife stared around looked in a few cupboards
commenced screaming and said put it all back. You know what for the life of me I had no way because I had dedicated so much time and effort, job done erase memory. Lesson learnt.

SWMBO has a bedroom with over two hundred quilts all handsewn from huge to wall hanging
and the standard joke in our house was she should take a ball of string with her so she could find her way in and out.

On the other hand I have 30 metres of workshop and she is at a disadvantage you have to be 6 foot two to find the footholds in there, she is 5 foot one.

All of this has come to bite us both with advanced age and the need to downsize.

Kind regards Peter. (our 57th Anniversary in July best friends for 60 yrs)

NO WAY! You should get up early, cook a nice breakfast, and deliver it to her in bed (on a handmade tray), smile, and say 'Thank you dear'. Under no circumstances should you even enter the sewing room. DAMHIKT!

Your wife has the right to enter your domain, clean, straighten and organize it. You have the right to get your ass kicked for touching her stuff.

Here endeth the lesson.

Hmmm!!!!!! That's odd she waited until you were not around to cleaned your workshop?I think she might have been looking to see what you have stash in there. :)
My wife did the same and found my pen making profits that I was not sharing because I wanted new toys.
Anyhow just stay away from that sawing room.
