What is a typical finished diameter for a shaving brush? I know the brush knots come in various sizes, but have some material that could make a blank mold but is 1.25" diameter. A little for a pen blank, a little small for most other stuff.

I've made a lot of brushes and truthfully I think that's just a bit too small. All of mine are 1.35" or larger. You *might* be able to make one with a small knot, say 18mm, but generally 22-24mm seem to be the preferred size, at least if you plan to sell them. The only brush I ever bought is an Edwin Jagger, and it's 1.24" at the widest part, but it's an odd shape. I'll post a pic if you'd like to get an idea of how it looks.
