Got this Urn finished yesterday, and I have to admit that the inspiration came from the Cover of one Woodturning Magazine.
It is made from Tasmanian Oak (Eucalyptus), and sanded to 400, then dyed and sanded again. Finally finished off with spray can Clear Varnish
It consists of 158 pieces, and measures 10in tall and 6.75in wide.
Hope you like it and thanks for looking.
C & C Welcome.

Oh My, but that is beautiful Bob. You know, for a young pup you're getting the hang of the segmented stuff!:tongue::biggrin::tongue:!

I love how the colors gradually shift from bottom to top. The profile also looks very appealing.

Very, very nice! (someday when I have more time.....)

Bob that is well thought out. The shape is a very nice shape. The lines of the rings look like they are much in line like they should be. The transition of colors does add a nice touch. Job well done. To me this is what segmenting is meant to be when doing traditional segmenting. No cheating involved. Thanks for showing.
