Thanks to Steve J. For the set of blanks. These are the first ones that caught my eye and I couldn't wait to get them on the lathe. Thanks again Steve and I hope I did them justice.

Thanks Todd. I was actually kind of nervous turning them. It's been a long while since I've turned a wooden pen. They turned very easily and I was afraid if one blew apart I'd be out of luck. Theses no way I could make one like it to replace it.

Well done Kenny. If you had blown it out I would have made you a new one.

Thanks Steve. Luckily it made it to the end. I know a lot of work goes into those things so when something bad happens it's a hurt that's goes down deep. Ha Ha. Alan I'll let Steve answer your question. I think it is though.

Are the end caps maple?
Yes, with rosewood as the "body" and the accent is walnut, maple, and purple heart with green and yellow veneer.

I used the last slices of the accent material which made it impossible to center both of them on the two barrels. Still, I think few people would notice if it isn't pointed out. I find single tube kits much easier to do since they don't have the need for matching.
