Segmented Relief Portraiture

Hi all,

Just finished this one a few days ago.

Pioneered by Kerry Shirts. Uses soft Maple or Poplar and quality modern wood stains. These stains used in conjunction with unstained, light colored wood can produce chiaroscuro effects. Relief to segmented pieces projects an illusion of depth.

I Used Poplar, four different wood stains and Scrollsaw for this Bobcat. Total of 120 pieces.

Beautiful work, Les. I've not yet found the patience for something like that. But that's why they make so many types of woodworking stuff. We all have our creation preferences. Two thumbs, way up.
