Hey pen turners, as a fairly new turner, I created my first segmented pen. I realize I still need to work on finish etc.. but my question is why is one side of the segmented pen slightly different in size than the opposite side? What cause this and how do I correct? See attached picture. Thanks for your help.

My guess would be that the hole you drilled was not perfectly parallel to the sides of the blank (you drilled at a slight angle). This can cause what you are seeing.

Nice segmenting by the way!

The center of the blank and the center of the design is two different things. To avoid having to deal with this make sure your blanks are as square as you can make them. Also as mentioned drilled hole has to be spot on straight, for most designs.
