I've posted a couple of these before, so the premise is not new: take a Sierra Click, and a similarly dressed Cigar kit, and combine the two. I used to use an Atlas piece in the middle somewhere, but events have shown that step to be unnecessary.
I got the segmented blank from WoodCraft...one of several they offer. They gave me a discount and asked me to turn this. The wood seems to be Rosewood and bloodwood, although it could be Box Elder Burl dyed red. Which ever it is, it chips out badly against the long Rosewood axises. Didn't matter what tool, technique or presentation method I tried. Pieces kept flying off and the blank kept getting smaller, so I got out the 80-grit gouge and the corian. That let me wind up with this. The corian gave me the chance to modify the grip a little...previously, I thought they were too large. Black titantium kits, with a Mont Blanc rollerball refill in it.
Thanks for looking. Your comments and criticisms are welcome.
