Here is a couple of photos of the cane handles which I made. No power tools used, all cut out, shaped, filled and sanded by hand.

I really like the cane with the thistle carvings. What timbers do you use?

Lovely sticks John, I am a member of the Scottish Crookmakers Association, I made walking sticks and crooks before turning pens.

John, I took up pentuning to learn to turn for the sake of making canes...never happened...on the lathe! Carved a few, not anywhere near your quality. Very handome canes. What method do you use to attach the handle to the staff?
