This pen is two firsts for me. The first pen I ever made with a skin wrapped in transparent wood ;) veneer and my first Cigar. I'll post elsewhere my experiences turning this 'wood'. It is a black Ti from CS. The cigar style seems a bit heavy for my hand. But it is a popular style so that assessment is an individual thing.

Ahhhh...the Force is strong in this one. Welcome to the dark side, Frank!

Kidding aside, that's REALLY pretty. Is that perch, as in the fish?
 
Way to go Frank! I'm rooten for ya to post more! I thought OO was yellow... I'm still partial to the clear woods over skins. Nice going for your first one. I find that wet sanding with MM or wet/or/dry auto paper give a good finish on these kinds of woods.[:D]

Don, you didn't tell me the ones you gave me are clear "wood"...maybe I will turn then now (note I am a wood person) [:D][;)]

Nice going Frank. As a wood guy myself, I too am due to take the plunge, any day now.

Are those scratches I see in the lower barrel? JK, Frank! It looks great![^] All ten thumbs, way up!
