Yup I fell for the famous " Certificate of Authenticity" scam.
I bought 4 pieces of white Bakelite knifle handles off ebay a couple months ago. They came with a real nice Certificate showing where they came from and a nice history of the plant they where made in.
What a joke---I sanded them square this morning and it's nothing more than old plastic. Brought them in the house and they failed the 409 and the semi-chrome test.
Beware a "Certificate of Authenticity" has very little meaning these days. They can be used as a marketing scam.
Of course the rule says---no pic----so here's a pic.
