I have a lot of you on my email contacts so this is a heads up. I received this from one of my customers:

Hi,
I set up a profile where I can post photos, connect and share.

Do me a favor and confirm our relationship
here.

The word here is in blue and is a link, do not open it as it will forward this to all in your contacts list... Sorry I was dumb enough to open it:redface::redface::redface::redface:

Hope you don't mind, but I crippled that link to avoid having that page and our site flagged by search engines as hosting dangerous links.

Yes Roy. .. I got one from you!

But I didn't think you'd sign it with your business name misspelled..

I got one recently (through Facebook) from a friend telling me how much he liked his new Ipad that he had gotten for free and how I could get one too! I knew better luckily.
Not much in life you get for free ... except for maybe, good advice here on IAP!

I got one from who I thought was you too Roy. It said PensByBellePenn, with the double N on the end.
I got half way through registering for the blog site ( Premium Blogs) and then gave up as it seemed to get more complex.
This morning I got an email from the blog coach master - Jennifer Williams, who said that I hadn't completed registering and she'd help me if needed.

Sorry Roy, but I have a confession to make......:redface:

I opened it cos I thought you would spell your name wrong:tongue:

Now see..I thought this was going to be one of those nigerian gimme money threads..so I didn't pay any attention and of course as you now know...I opened it. My phone would not let me complete the registration process, but as you know it still managed to bounce out to at least some if not all my contacts. I don't even understand what the point or goal of it all was. Seems like a big waste of time and talent to program something like that.

If those people had brains as well as talent, they'd probably have real jobs.

Why get a job when your job is to steal from others. :frown:
That's what these scum do.

Look at what they're doing:

Jeff enters his username/password and it gets redirected to their data
store wherein they look online in all the social networking sites to see if
they can locate his bank, Credit Card info or other personally identifiable information.
Next thing you know, they're using your money to spread the wealth -- from your account to theirs.

Be careful people, these little things are no laughing matter!

yea...my money passwords and email passwords are not the same, but regardless, I have now changed all my passwords. I got an email from mailerdaemon this morning that I sent out an email to a customer from my website but it did not go through and it was sent as a reply from an inquiry off my site, but the customers email address was no longer valid, thus the mailerdaemon report. I did report the original email to hotmail as well..if that does any good, I don't know. I'm not laughing. was changing all my passwords enough or do I need to do more?

Change your identity:biggrin: You must go into the witness protection custody program. In there, there will be no pen making abilities.

I got one also. Almost opened but opted to google the message content first. Scam was exposed as result. Don't open strange messages but if you must use the google search first.
