Thanks Cindy - the pattern was cut on my CNC, but I did have to bring out the math books to write the code.

I was in disbelief that that could be done until you said CNC. I have been trying to think about how to make a fish scale pen with this type of pattern.

Looks pretty cool from here Bruce. Even though you did it on your fancy gizmo, I think it's very impressive that you got the scales absolutely perfect on the top and the bottom and none of them are cut off.

Now.....you just need to get the machine to carve out a handle:biggrin:
