I really enjoy segmenting but didn't have any good way to safely (keeping all my fingers) make precision cuts. I have been looking at the Byrnes 4" Table Saw but it just isn't in the budget (at least not yet :rolleyes:).

I was using an old radial arm saw that came from my dad and is probably 40 years old. The table and back stop probably had more cuts in them than solid material! :eek:

I decided to see what I could do to improve that without breaking the bank. Here is what I came up with:

For about $50 in materials I replaced the table and backboard with melamine, added some Incra T-track and hold down clamps, and an adjustable board for angle cuts.

Here is a sample of how fine I can now make cuts:

I'm jazzed! Now I have no excuse when things don't come out right (I'll need to start thinking of one! :redface:)
