Saved from the firewood pile

My neighbour liked the grain on a split log about to go into her wood burner so saved it and gave it to me. The log was just a humble piece of ash.
I made this box from it.
The rest of the box is mahogany from an old fireplace her husband was asked to remove and the insert on the lid is from a broken gun stock.

Thanks Jon. Because it was Ash and had that 'quilting' it was quite difficult to sand. Got there eventually.
