Sanding PR?

Need recommendation on sanding it.
I been using MM wet sanding and have a 50/50 chance with water getting to the label and messing it up.
Could someone recommend the preferred way to dry sand it.

There is no mystery!! Don't let the blank get hot.

I sand with 400-600, then buff. Tripoli, White Diamond, done.

No buffer? Do 400-600-1000 and Novus 3, then Novus 2. Perfectionist? Add Hut plastic polish (or similar car products)

Has worked for me for nearly 2 decades, I think it will work for you too!!

We generally dry sand using Abranet (220/320/400/600) then MM the complete range (1500-12000), a couple coats of Hut Ultra Gloss plastic polish and finish it off with a coat of Renaissance Wax. As long as you stop the lathe and sand longitudinally also between every grit, we also do the same with the polish, you can get a good finish.

I did 400-600-800-1000-2000 then used mothers aluminum polished (had it setting by the lathe so tried it.)

The sand paper i used was wet dry that i got think at the Auto parts store awhile back

Looks great to me and not messy as wet MM.

I'll post pictures later tonight in SOYP
 
You can still do it wet with the MM just rinse often and get as much water off as you can. Pretty much use them damp not dripping wet. They will dry quick and burn fast after dry so you have to be careful, but it works.
