Sander Help/Tip?

Does anyone have a clever tip for removing the "Clumps" of residual glue left on the Aluminum plate when changing the sanding pads ? My method is not clever and is time consuming.

I've never tried it but I bet Goo Gone would do it.

I use some lacquer thinner on a rag to soften/remove the glue.
Take the old disc off when it is hot and it is easier to remove
with less left behind glue and paper.

Never thought of that..Thanks.. I use acetone, then sit around till it dries..

dont have the sander but i have used it for all kinds of stuff on surfaces
buy a small one and see how it works

I use Goo Gone to remove all kinds of adhesive . I even use it to remove the stickers from wood and it works great , and it don't stain the wood .
