Salt & Pepper Grinders- 4 sided turning

I did a four sided turning where only one complete circular pattern can be seen at any one time. The grinders can be rotated so that the different patterns can be seen. I saw some bud vases turned in a similar way and decided that I had to try something similar. It took a while for me to wrap my mind around it and figure out a way to do it. The montage includes the 4 complete patterns as well as unmatched patterns. Walnut.

Very cool. Might be really cool in a light wood and dark wood so you would have ying-yang type of shakers. I really like what you did, thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the comments. I felt pretty good about figuring out how to do this on my own, I later found a description of how to do it online. Their approach was different so there is more than one way to skin a cat.
