I have made several pepper mills and have had a few requests for salt mills. Any suggestions on brand or suppliers?

Chief specialties and crush grind sell kits for these. Both will be a ceramic style mechanism. Hope that helps

You can find the Chef Specialties version on ExoticBlanks. Type "salt grinder" in the search box.

Salt grinders should not only have ceramic heads, they should also have anodized shaft so the salt does not
"eat" it. CS mechanisms have both.

My suggestion would be go with the ceramic crush grinders from Ideal... I've made many of the crush grind mills and sell them as either salt or pepper grinders... you can get them at most of the turner supply catalogs... CSUSA, Packardwoods, etc.... I buy mine from Cam Levers at crushgrind-usa
