We lost one of our fur babies today, Mali Cat. As close as we can estimate she was about 12 years old, we had her for about 8.
She developed pancreatitis the end of last week. Took her to the vet last Saturday and they put her on meds and sent her home with us. Jan had to force feed her food and water all week long. She occasionally ate a few kitty cookies of dry food, but not much. Talked with the vet again Friday and they said there was nothing else they could do for her, so Jan took her in today for a final goodby. She will be missed by her 2 sisters kitties, Abby and Misha, and brother Queso and dog sister Sandy.

Ach, it sucks when we have to say goodbye to them. Give Abby, Misha, Queso and Sandy extra treats for a couple of days, and maybe Jan and yourself too.

So sorry to her that, we just lost our Jack Russell, we don't train them they train us, and a cat is the most controller of all, they are quite and get they way all the time, know what you are going through, Joe

I've had many strays/rescues. Daughter brought this one home 3 or 4 years ago. Poor thing. She was semi-feral. Declawed. Took forever to get her house trained due to stress. I've had her on Prozac for months now, she would lick her belly raw. Worst is her upper respiratory issues. Regardless, she is very affectionate.

Sorry to hear of the loss. We have two puppies that adopted us about 12 years ago. Taking meds for arthritis and related pain. Dread when the time draws near.
