Well, sometimes the timber has other ideas. At nearly finished diameter, I noticed a few notches and chips in the burl. Too nice of a blank to waste, asked the customer if I could do some inlay in them to see if it could be salvaged.
I think it worked out alright! Some synthetic ring inlay opal chips and dust with thin ca built up in layers.
Ebonite lined and section
Matte CA finish
'Oreo' spacers (described hilariously by customer)
Jowo #6 nib.
Weight 28 gm
Capped 143 mm
Uncapped 137 mm
