I'm getting the best results with Rub'n Buff. I definitely like the silver better.

Excellent Jim. What burn time did you use please, and at what power? Thank you.

Hello Jim,
I am thinking of getting the same laser engraver from Nancy.
For your pens, did you apply any finish to them prior to engraving?
Once engraved, and applied Rub'n Buff, did you use any finish over that?
I am curious if CA or friction polish (Pens Plus) would work?

The video and pics look great as well.
Thank you

So far, I haven't applied any finish over the Rub'n Buff. I've only used it for filling engraving on acrylic pens. For wood, the engraver "burns" it, so it's dark and shows up. Acrylic doesn't burn, hence the need for some sort of fill. None of the pens I've used the Rub'n Buff on have been used enough to get a feel for its longevity. I finish wood pens with Pens Plus before engraving. I polish acrylic pens before engraving. But since they're reflective, you have to use something like a dry erase marker on it before you engrave. Then it can be rubbed off before filling it. I recently heard about using liquid chalk the same way, and got a liquid chalk pen to try.
