Round mold

I want to make a doughnut shaped mold for casting bangle blanks. Does anyone have an opinion on using stabilized MDF for this? Would be very easy to get the shape with the router and thinking if I cactus juice it and use mold release it might work.
Any thoughts?

Will give your self grief, reinventing the wheel. get either one or both of these books and save yourself time, money and materials.

Several products out there like this. I know Michael's has at least two. Sky is the limit when it comes to making molds of something.
