My first PSI Rollester, obviously in chrome. I've put off making a Rollester, because I didn't think I'd like it. As it turns out (no pun intended!), I do like it a lot. It's simple, yet has a certain (dare I say it?) simple elegance. The blank is a poly called Summer Swirl, from Woodcraft. Very happy with this one.

Looks good. I've made several of these. I don't personally care for the style, but have sold every one I've made. They function quite well and they're great for showing off those nice long blanks. In fact, I just recently finished one. I dream of someday making a nice segmented blank that long and being able to drill a straight hole through it.

If I was concerned about drilling it that straight, I'd drill it on the lathe. I've done that in the past with certain blanks, like Thin Blue Line.

Nice Pen. I like the kit myself. The reason I bought the kit was of the long tube as I wanted to show off the blank. I also like the way the rollerball writes. I buy the fine point refills. It's kind of a pain with the cap but it's easier than the threaded line ones. It's also light weight so that's the pen I carry everyday.

Great looking pen. Have been turning this kit myself as well.

If you're interested in getting it a bit cheaper than PSI, penkitsmall sells them for about $4 a piece including shipping. it took about a month to get to me from China, though...

That's the only way I drill blanks. Somehow I still manage to go a little off. I'll start digging around for some help with it one of these days, but I'm not going to hijack your post about it. I'm no doubt doing something wrong.

I rarely drill on the lathe. It's time consuming and fiddly, and isn't usually necessary. But when I do, I use pen blank drilling jaws in my Nova chuck. I also start the hole with a center drill. It's always drilled straight with no intervention from me.
