I write almost exclusively with RBs (after not liking them for my first 51.5 years). I also use the Schmidt lines: 888, 5888, medium and fine - ceramic, non-drying etc.
I have found that the more I write with a refill the finer (thinner), the writing becomes. I am not taking about weeks or months later; I am talking about several hours-of-use later (less than 4 hours later).
My medium points evolve into fine points, and my fine points evolve into hypodermic needles.
All are store at room temperature in my home office (70 to 74 degrees). They all start-off writing as advertised, but seem to lose "weight" over time.
PS. I have no luck with Schneider or Haus(?)...although I like the way they work for the first few minutes - not exaggerating.
Anyone have the same experience?
