Road Trip--Wood Gloat

Monday morning I was out the front door at 3;15 am headed out for a 400 mile road trip.
Here's what followed me home-----Ash--Red Oak--Poplar--Maple

Gary - you really need to be careful about picking up hitch hikers! It can be very dangerous . . I suggest you send each of us a small portion of your tag along so that it can't gang up on you all at once and you will be safe once again!!!

Yeah, that is what I call, limited space and time utilization...! Bits the hell out of cutting the trees, handle the heavy logs, slab/slice them, handle all the rubbish (left overs), stack them to dry and wait a couple of years before they are good to work with...! Is actually called "work smart"...!:biggrin:

Well I agree, that is all very convenient but, I still like to do all the time consuming, heavy/hard handling and dangerous stuff...!:frown::smile-big:

Shame that you didn't score any "chunks" for your bigger turnings, of you know what I mean...!:wink:

That Poplar, well, I didn't think that was Poplar to start with until you said so, certainly different than any Poplar I've seen..!

I reckon, your wife is going to get most of that, more her wood size, huh...???
