Found some potential pens on the road this afternoon.







I'll have to do some research when I get home to see what kind it is. I do know it's not poisonous.

Looks kinda like a rat snake, but I'm no expert on snakes.

Should make some nice pens.

Im pretty sure it's a Texas Rat Snake. I've had a few of their skins. Nice find!

Yup, a Texas Rat Snake....used to have one as a pet. The oblong spots along the sides of the snake are pretty characteristic.
