Rings

I have been getting more and more in to turning rings the past few months. My wife now has a pile, I've made them for any family member who has interest and I've even had a few commissioned.

Here is the latest. A friend of mine at work is retiring in June and planning on moving to a different part of the state. He gave me a branch from a large maple tree that I happened him cut down last summer and said see what you can do with it

Yes I made the ring box too. This one was made from some maple firewood that I had. The branch that I got was to small to make the box from. Couple of barrel hinges, drilled the hole with a forstner bit and magnets hold the lid shut.
