I have a set that I use exclusively on wood. So far they are holding their edge just fine and doing as well as can be expected from a newbie turner.

I tried them on acrylic and got consistently bad results. That's probably due to me, but nevertheless I don't use them on acrylic any more.

Stan, what were your results? I had trouble with dimples on acrylic but discovered that I needed to go sloooow on moving the tool across the blank.

Interesting that they are all round shank. I made one with a round shank and I seldom use it. Having a flat surface on the tool rest just seems to give me better control. The round shank has a tendency to twist sometimes.

OK, I should have looked at the description in more detail.
It looks as though there are 3 sides of a hexagon milled into the bottom. This would give a 30 degree angle on the cutter in both directions. Interesting concept.
