I wanted an adapter that would allow me to mount my wood working chucks on my metal lathe to allow me to make some perfect cylinders to make molds from for casting. Rick made me a 20mm shaft to 1.25"x8 that worked like a charm.

Interesting concept. How is the runout having a chuck in a chuck on a spindle mounted that far away from the headstock? Not saying it's bad, just curious if it's noticeable.

Yes the other option was a T3 to thread. Rick and I discussed it.
However, for what I'm doing the existing method works just fine. I can leave the ER32 in place and I'm turning only alumilite at about 300rpm.
