Reverse paint for Mutt?

Hi all, I am wondering if one should reverse paint the half wood half resin blank or not, or if any painting should be done at all. I would just paint it, but I would prefer not to have to go spend the money on the right color.

Depending on the color of the blank I use Walmart dollar spray paint.

Black grey or white will pretty much cover everything.

With 'worthless wood' type blanks, I match my paint color to the color of the resin.
