A friend just retired after 30 years with local government. He is an extreme patriot. What design/style would you recommend?

Thanks for any thoughts.

See if you can get some more folks to kick in and this kit is hard to beat:

Big Time DITTO. You've got to go with this kit. Also, get a nice box engraved and you won't go wrong.

Brian,

The pen kit takes time to assemble. It is important to follow Ken's directions exactly. Some choose to sand the blanks to shape rather than chance the skew. It will definitely take some confidence on your part to tackle the job. If you get the kit and decide it is more than you wish to try, I would be glad to help out by turning it for you. Drop me a PM if and when you decide how to proceed.

Good point. He has his Ph.D. in political science. Knows more about US History than most people I have come across. Lives/eats and breathes the stuff. A great resource for my kids as they studied history. I suspect there are levels of "Patriotism" as they are reflected in how we live our lives. If you ask him a question in the subject of US History or our Government and how it works, be prepared for a very thorough answer. A great guy.
