It's that time of the year when my thoughts are on my up coming craft fairs. Trying to think of everything that needs to get finished, and everything that needs to be done prior to my first show on this coming sunday. I have used tools all my life including my 25 years as a certified master mechanic but today I forgot to respect my tools. With all the things on my mind I took for granted my band saw and it reminded me. So I am here to tell everyone to slow down, think about what they are doing and keep there minds on the task at hand. I am fine and will heal but enough of a scare for me to step back and take the rest of the day off. All of us use dangerous tools every day so for those who think you may be charging to much think again and please, please, please becareful.

Glad to hear it wasn't worse. I have stopped for the day when I was distracted or not up to par.

I reported here with ten fingers, I want to report back with the same ten fingers.

Everyone has said it many times before, and it will be forever said many more times, it only takes one fraction of a second of not paying close attention to have an "oh $hit!" moment. I recently had one and it cost me 7 stitches down the side if my thumb from a chisel. I know better, and it still happened. No point making excuses. :( 2 years ago, late at night on the last cut of the night my finger tip glided through the table saw, and I was reminded why you should call it a night when you are tired.

Glad you didn't get hurt worse, and thank you for the reminder.
