I have five completed pens, same kit models, with clips so tight against the barrel that the pens will not allow shirt pocket fabric to slide under the clips.
I have tried various ways to pry the clips up to relieve the acute circle/clip angle, but the metal is too stiff. Over-muscleing (spelling?) usually gets me in trouble. I searched the library techniques folder and did not find this addressed.
The kits are PSI Everyday Classic, and I shaped the barrels fairly slim. I don't imagine that photos would show anything helpful. Thanks for any advice.

It is spring steel. Just takes some finesse. Use a length of brass tube, hard plastic tubing or make drilled out dowel so that you can slip over the entire clip and just pry up small increments at a time. Pen turning takes a certain touch to do many portions of construction. Welcome to pen turning.
