Asking "Those in the Know". Has any one tried this? I was told that it can be done simply.

Thank you for reading, and possibly humoring me

I obviously made a mistake. I was told that the Parker-style refills (ball point and roller ball) were interchangeable. Sorry.

You are right that the Parker style ballpoint and roller-ball refills are interchangeable but I haven't heard of any roller-balls that would work for a cross style ballpoint.

There is an adapter to put Parker ballpoints in a rollerball pen

Rollerball cartridges typically need to be capped to not dry out

Also on most twist type ballpoint kits, you'd need to lengthen the tube by quite a bit

I guess the words Rollerball and Gel ink refills are not interchangeable. I was referring to the Ops post and said roller ball when I meant to say gel ink refill. I replace a lot of the parker type pens with gel refills which are not capped and they work fine and haven't been drying out per no complaints from customers and from my own use.
Tim.
