I'm working on a Roman Harvest, replacing the bling (actually it's one of their blingless kits) with Amboyna Burl rings. Man! This isn't easy! Getting the little rings made isn't all that bad (tough enough), but getting things together with a tiny bit of CA so the ring doesn't spin is a land mine. I evidently need to get one of those little nozzle applicators because a Q-tip isn't cutting it.

It's a pain in the butt right! Try taking apart a Majestic...those things were built to stay together. That's why it was a short lived phase for me. Best of luck

I tried taking apart a Majestic about a year ago and abandoned the whole idea. With the Harvest kits hope springs anew! But, wow, what a pain!

Tim,

I'm not certain this is all worth the time and frustration!! I've walked away from it for a day or so and may bail all together. I get the ring turned just fine - and the inner diameter is good - but parting it either results in a little rim on the inside that I have to try to sand off - or it splits on parting - even with being soaked in thin CA. I need to look into turning and parting these little minuscule rings. When I need a real challenge I know what to do!
