Redo of Double Closed Ended Amboyna Burl Pen

Made it this A.M. Remade the barrel end of a Double Closed Ended Amboyna Burl pen I posted yesterday. I wasn't satisfied with the discrepancy between the sizes and length of the upper barrel versus the lower barrel as well contour in the first pen. This time I made the lower barrel shorter and wider using a technique that Jim aka Jim in Oakville described. I didn't do a hidden clip. I think it looks a little nicer. The first set of three pictures are the revised pen and the next two are of the original. What do you guys think? Comments appreciated and thanks for looking. Doc

This just look so amazing! I really need to give this a try one day...perhaps when I get better at this whole turning thing, ha ha ha.

They both look great but I guess it's a preference thing.

I didn't remove the hardware. I used the hardware from a new kit.
