Red Lotus

Norway Maple Bowl, pierced and Airbrushed. Made as a wedding present for a Hindu wedding in India. The lotus is an important Hindu symbol, the red is an auspicious color for the wedding, while the green is a wish for a peaceful and happy life together. Finished with waterborne lacquer. Roughly 8" (20 cm) across.

Eric, don't float away for another 18 months! Your work is very inspiring. The shape, timbers, colors, etc are great. But combined with the piercings... very cool! Keep at it.
