Red Bud

As I was walking through my back yard day-before-yesterday, a red bud tree fell against the chain saw I was carrying(doesn't everyone carry a running chain saw with them?). It was hurt severely and I had to put it out of its misery. This pen is made from a piece that came from its crotch[}]. It was dried several times in a micro wave and put on a slimline gold ti. kit. The finish is two coats of CA glue, MM to 12,000, and Hut Crystal Coat.

I love that wood, Tom! A friend gave me a pice a few months ago and I've been waiting on it to dry. I may hurry it up a bit now. [] Nice curves on the SL too! I like. [^]
