Does anyone else save up their cuttings and make "new" blanks out of 'em?

Got a box full. Just need to sort them and glue them together. I also cut blanks with the tube installed on the bandsaw. Sometimes there is a lot of wood left after the tube is in place. I cut the excess off to save time when squaring the blank prior to turning. Save those little pieces, too. Can be a piece about 1/8 inch thick.
