Recycle # ?

I did a search but couldn't find it. What is the good Recycle # to use with PR. What numbers are for sure the bad ones.

From everything I have read Recycle Code 5 is the one that is safe for PR.

I use 5 with no problems. Hint: the only place I've found recycle code 5 cups is at some dollar stores. I never found them at big chain stores.

# 6 seems to be very easy to find, but as luck would have it I have some #5's in the shop from another project. Do the #6's melt?

Recycle code #6 is "Polystyrene" The worst of the plastics for use with PR . Code #1 and #5 are the only safe plastics and only #5 is safe for long term storage of PR .

I saw this mentioned before. Can you show a link to which paper cups? Will any "drinking cooler" paper cups work? I know #6 doesn't work DAMHIKT.

Ive used alot of different paper cups and don't think it matters Mike.

Ive used the very cheap unwaxed cups, the small bathroom cups for small pours, even the waxed cups have worked for me.
