Some time ago, I posted an "oops" & asked for input for a possible solution. I received several suggestions so I'm grateful for all the input.

I purchased a black acrylic blank, turned off the broken piece, added the black 'segment' & turned. The brass material could have been a little thicker but I used what I had.

Looks like your design modification worked nicely! Glad you are discovering new skills with these blanks, I did the same a few months ago
